Torrevieja, 6 May 2025 - This morning was presented at the CdT of Torrevieja the "Croquetas al Gusto" Contest and the V Edition of "Croqueteando por Torrevieja", an initiative organised by the Asociación de Empresarios de Hostelería de Torrevieja y Comarca (AEHTC) and sponsored by the company Roldan Netya.
This activity will take place from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 MayThroughout the week the participating establishments will offer in their premises the croquettes they have entered in the competition, accompanied by a drink, at the popular price of 3,50 €.
- The president of the AEHTCJosé Ignacio Pastor, commented:
"Every year, the establishments surpass themselves with more elaborate, creative and surprising proposals. The croquettes presented today reflect the effort, dedication and professionalism of the catering sector in Torrevieja and the surrounding area".
- The Councillor for Hotels and TourismRosario Martínez Chazarra, intervened, saying:
"The croquettes that we are going to taste today demonstrate the high quality of the products used by our chefs and the high standard of the local catering industry. It is also a fantastic opportunity for locals and tourists to enjoy these creations at a very affordable price".
The event was attended by the official jury, made up of:
- President of the Jury: Ms. Rosario Martínez Chazarra, Councillor for Hotels and Tourism, Torrevieja Town Council.
- Jury Secretariat: Ms. Alicia Arenas Mercader, Director of the CdT of Torrevieja
- Sponsor's representative: D. César Culiañez Amorós, Sales Manager for the Alicante province of Roldan Netya.
- Invited members:
- Ms. María del Mar Valera, President of APEHA
- Mr. José Manuel Marcos Candela, master pastry chef at Pastelería Crujiente (Redován).
The winners of the competition will be announced on Tuesday 20 Maywith the following prizes:
First Prize for the Best Croquette
- 1.000 in cash
- Batch of products offered by Roldan Netya
Second Prize for the Best Croquette
- 500 in cash
- Batch of products offered by Roldan Netya
Third Prize for the Best Croquette
- Batch of products offered by Roldan Netya
This year's participants are 16 establishments from Torrevieja and the Vega Baja, with a wide variety of flavours and ingredients:

2. Restaurant HB Torrevieja - Croquette of artichokes from the garden, a selection of cheeses, Iberian ham, truffle and creamy boletus sauce

4. Bianco Sea Emotion - Iberian rib and truffled potato croquettes
5. Club Nautico Restaurant - Iberian rib and truffled potato croquettes
6. Luna Creciente Gastrobar - Galley croquette
7. La Cantina Foods & Drinks - Prawn croquette
8. Di Claudio Restaurant Pizzeria - Babe Croquette
9. El Rincón de las Jarras - Bacon croquette
10. La Glorieta Café - Caramelised boletus croquette
11. Mesón El Huertano - Oxtail croquette
12. Martinis Restaurant - Baked octopus croquette
13. El Chiringuito of La Mar de Bien - Prawn croquette, crunchy leek and saffron ali oli
