Torrevieja inaugurates its gastronomic calendar 2026 with the 5th edition of "Pastel y Café - La Semana Más Dulce".
From 9 to 15 February, Torrevieja kicks off its gastronomic calendar 2026 with the celebration of the 5th edition of "Cake and Coffee - The Sweetest Week", an already consolidated event that highlights the value of local pastries accompanied by coffee, tea or infusion. The event was presented at FITUR with the participation of the Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolon, the Councillor for Hospitality and Tourism, Rosario Martinez, and the president of the Association of Hospitality Businesses of Torrevieja and Region (AEHTC), José Ignacio Pastor, who stressed the importance of these initiatives to boost the hospitality sector and strengthen the tourist and gastronomic projection of the municipality. During the week of 9 to 15 February, nine associated establishments will offer sweet proposals specially created for the occasion, accompanied by coffee, tea or infusion, with prices ranging between 4 and 8 euros, inviting both

Our objective as a hotel and catering association is to promote all the values that mark our land and make it a reference in the country's main industry, tourism.
As an association of hospitality businesses in Torrevieja we work every day to promote all the values that make our land a world-class tourist destination. We promote the gastronomy of Torrevieja as part of something much bigger and immaterial as is the culture of our region. Culture understood as a set of intangible values that have been passed down from generation to generation, shaping the Vega Baja that we know and promote today.

We are a beach town, but the attractions of our city go far beyond that and that is what we promote day by day with our work. Our gastronomy, heir to our port but also to the orchards of the Vega Baja. Our culture, our traditions, heir to centuries and centuries of settlers from the most diverse origins.
