The organisation of the International Tapas Day, Torrevieja 2026 Registration is now open for all establishments partners catering professionals interested in taking part in one of the most prominent gastronomic events on the local calendar, which will take place on Saturday 26 September 2026.
The establishments partners must submit the registration form, duly completed, together with the the establishment’s logo, before Tuesday 1 September 2026 at 2.00 pm. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Makro cover required
As an essential requirement for taking part in the event, all establishments must draw up a Makro Lid, the main ingredient of which will be the tuna.
Furthermore, Makro, the official supplier for International Tapas Day Torrevieja 2026, will provide each participating establishment with the following free of charge 8 kilograms of yellowfin tuna loin, skinned and gutted, from the producer SMALL FLASK. The delivery will consist of two vacuum-packed items, each weighing approximately four kilograms.
Presentation to the jury
The Makro Lid The following must be submitted for assessment by the jury: Thursday 24 September, at 10.00 am, at the premises of the Torrevieja CDT.
The lids must arrive completely finished, since Cooking, preparing or finishing any dishes on the CDT premises will not be permitted. Only the plating and final presentation of the tapa will be permitted before it is presented to the jury.
Promotional material
With the aim of boosting publicity for the event and encouraging public participation, all registered venues will receive a merchandise pack which they can give to customers taking part in International Tapas Day.
The organisation encourages all local hospitality professionals to take part in this year’s event and help ensure the success of an event that continues to establish itself as a gastronomic highlight in Torrevieja.
