The 10th edition of International Tapas Day in Torrevieja It has concluded on a very positive note, both in terms of the participation of the venues and the public’s response.
Foodline La Mata, winner of the Makro Tapa competition
On 24 September, the panel of experts met at the CdT in Torrevieja to assess the entries and select the winning tapas.
The first prize and the winning Makro tapa went to Foodline La Mata, with its lid ‘Tuna wave’. The second prize went to the HB Hotel/Restaurant, Torrevieja, for his proposal ‘Crispy tuna tartare’.
A very satisfactory assessment of the organisation
The Torrevieja and Surrounding Area Hospitality Businesses Association has given a very positive assessment of this year’s event. The figures provided by the participating establishments show a significant number of tapas sold and a great response from the public.
The venues have also provided the organisation with very positive feedback, highlighting the buzz generated and the warm reception the initiative has received.
International Tapas Day in Torrevieja will return next year
These results have led the organisation to commit to continuing this gastronomic event and to start working on future editions.
