The 13th edition of "Arroces de Torrevieja" returns from 2 to 8 March as a great gastronomic event in the city.
Torrevieja will once again become the rice capital of the 2 to 8 March with the celebration of the 13th edition of the Arroces de Torrevieja Rice FestivalThis is one of the most important gastronomic events in the local calendar, which will bring together locals and visitors around the Mediterranean culinary tradition.
The event has been presented today by the president of the Association of Hospitality Businesses of Torrevieja and Region, José Ignacio Pastortogether with the Councillor for Catering and Tourism, Rosario MartínezThe event will once again focus on quality, creativity and local produce.
19 restaurants to offer special rice-based menus
A total of 19 partner restaurants will be taking part in this new edition, preparing gastronomic proposals that will include traditional rice dishes, stews, paellas and innovative recipes that combine modern techniques with local products.
The participating establishments have designed special menus which will allow you to discover new interpretations of rice, accompanied by starters and desserts designed to complete the culinary experience.
According to José Ignacio Pastor,
"Arroces de Torrevieja is not only a gastronomic route, but an experience that celebrates our culinary identity, promotes the creativity of our chefs and allows you to enjoy the destination also through its gastronomy".
Promoting gastronomic tourism in Torrevieja
The initiative is supported by the Torrevieja Town Hall and of the Costa Blanca Provincial Tourist BoardThe event has consolidated its position as a benchmark event in gastronomic tourism in the province of Alicante.
The main objective is to promote local cuisine, boost the hospitality sector and attract visitors during the pre-spring season, reinforcing the tourist offer of the municipality.
