The Torrevieja Paella Route: ten restaurants and ten rice dishes for €9 from 13 to 18 October
The first edition of The Paella Route, Torrevieja has been presented as part of Gastronomic Alicante. This is a new culinary concept that showcases rice, one of the most iconic and characteristic dishes of the cuisine of Torrevieja and the Vega Baja region.
Dates and price of The Paella Route
The race will take place from Tuesday 13 to Sunday 18 October. During this period, ten participating establishments will be offering a rice dish specially prepared for the occasion, accompanied by a drink, for a a flat rate of 9 euros.
Ten ways to enjoy rice in Torrevieja and the Vega Baja
The Paella Route will take you on a tour of various establishments where you can discover ten different rice dishes, ranging from traditional recipes to more original creations, showcasing the versatility of one of the region’s culinary stars.
Among the entries are the arroz a bandathe rice with Iberian pork belly and artichokes and the Señoret-style rice, amongst other dishes.

How to enter the prize draw
As well as enjoying the culinary delights on offer, those travelling along the route will be able to Collect three stamps and enter the prize draw. To do so, they must complete the ballot paper and place it in the ballot boxes provided at the participating venues.
A celebration of Torrevieja’s cuisine
With this first edition of The Paella Route, the association is committed to continuing to promote gastronomy as one of the main attractions of Torrevieja and the surrounding area, inviting both residents and visitors to discover different ways of enjoying one of the most traditional dishes of our cuisine.
