The Torrevieja-based restaurant offered more than 40 tastings of its menu, paired with wines from the Alicante Designation of Origin
On Monday, the HB Torrevieja Restaurant took part in the fourth edition of ‘La Millor Tapeta del Món’, a culinary event held on 14, 15, 16, 21 and 22 September, which brings together offerings from catering establishments in various towns across the province of Alicante.
HB Torrevieja’s participation, organised by the Association of Hospitality Businesses of Torrevieja and the Surrounding Area (AEHTC), centred on the tapa ‘From the salt flats to the vineyard’, created by chef Michel Gerard.
Throughout the day, the restaurant offered more than 40 tastings to the attending public, who were able to experience this culinary offering first-hand at an event that attracted a large crowd.
The experience was rounded off with wines from the Alicante Designation of Origin, in a pairing designed to bring out the flavours and nuances of the tapa presented by HB Torrevieja.
The restaurant’s manager, Egoitz Bello, was present throughout the day, accompanying chef Michel Gerard and introducing the restaurant’s culinary offering to the guests.
For his part, the president of the AEHTC praised the high quality of the tapa, noting that it was the result of the hard work, dedication and talent of the HB Torrevieja team, and described Michel Gerard as “an excellent chef”.
HB Torrevieja’s participation in ‘La Millor Tapeta del Món’ presents a new opportunity to showcase local cuisine, the talent of hospitality professionals and the quality of Torrevieja’s establishments, bringing their offerings to the public and sharing a culinary experience rooted in the produce and the Alicante region.
