The Tourism Centre (CdT) in Torrevieja announces the launch of new free professional courses and certificates starting in February. These courses include training in food hygiene, winter cooking, typical Easter sweets, basic restaurant operations, and improving the customer experience in tourist establishments. The CdT is part of the Network of Tourism Centres of the Valencian Community. and aims to provide comprehensive training for current and future professionals in the tourism sector, which is crucial for the Spanish economy.
The offer of the CoT Network includes Continuing Education for working professionals, with practical refresher courses that are compatible with working hours, and Occupational Training for unemployed people who wish to work in the tourism sector. These more extensive courses include theoretical teaching and real-life practical work experience. The courses are taught by experts in the sector, and at the end of some of them, students will receive an official certificate of professionalism valid throughout Spain.
In addition, the Torrevieja CdT highlights the offer of Online Training, which allows access to training in a flexible way and without the need to travel. These online courses offer individualised training with a teacher to answer queries, as well as online communication channels with other students.
The Torrevieja CdT, inaugurated in 2005, focuses on specialised training in tourism and gastronomy. It offers practical training in modern facilities to quickly develop the skills needed to enter the job market. The centre has an Advisory Board made up of professionals from the tourism sector to tailor training to the needs of the industry.
