For a responsible service. The Torrevieja Town Hall, the AEHTC and the
Asociación Controla Club "with more than 20 years promoting responsibility in citizen leisure", wants to implement in the municipality an agreement that is already being developed by the Ministry of Health.
Nightlife and hospitality are the main places where citizens, especially young people, carry out their recreational activities.
The collaboration of the hospitality sector in the promotion of quality leisure is a particularly useful tool for the promotion of responsible and healthy leisure habits.
In this context, the City Council of Torrevieja, with the collaboration of the AEHTC and the NGO Controla Club, has launched the National Programme for the Prevention of Drug Addiction in the Hospitality Sector RESPONSIBLE SERVICE.
Its main objective is to promote safe, healthy, responsible and quality leisure through nightlife and hospitality establishments.
The fundamental interest of the programme focuses on its capacity to transmit and communicate to society as a whole the efforts and commitment of the hospitality sector to provide a responsible service and quality attention to the public who visit hospitality establishments and, in particular, with regard to the responsible dispensing of alcoholic beverages, the protection of minors and the safety of the facilities of hospitality businesses.
For all these reasons, next Saturday 9th July, staff from the NGO Controla Club will carry out an itinerant tour of the municipality's hotel and nightlife establishments with the aim of distributing informative posters, which will serve to show the establishments' commitment to quality leisure, and a Code of Good Practice with advice on responsible leisure.
