The Torrevieja Town Hall announces the celebration of the Gastronomic Festival "DESAL TORREVIEJA".which will take place on 17, 18 and 19 October 2025. This event aims to highlight the local culinary tradition, the richness of the local products of the Vega Baja and the star product of the city: salt from the lagoons of Torrevieja.
Participation open to the local hospitality industry
Participation is open to all catering establishments legally established in Torrevieja and in municipalities of the Vega Baja, excluding franchises and fast food chains. The participation is free of charge and each establishment will be able to offer sweet or savoury tastings, with at least one proposal at a price of 3 euro.
The dishes must highlight the local and representative products of the region. Participants will have a stand of 3×2 metres Equipped with a counter, a table, a rubbish bin and power sockets, and a fridge can be ordered if necessary.
Documentation and deadlines
In order to formalise the registration it will be necessary to present:
- Application form (Annex I)
- Applicant's TIN
- Health registration
- Licence to open the establishment
- Food handler certificates
- Liability insurance
- Poster with prices and allergens of the products
The registration deadline 22 September 2025The selection will be made on a first come, first served basis, with preference given to Torrevieja establishments in the event of a tie.
Parallel activities
In addition to the gastronomic area, the festival will also offer a full programme of tastings, talks and showcookings by prestigious cooks and chefs with Michelin starThe event will become a great platform for dissemination and a tourist and cultural attraction for the city.
