The Councillor for Tourism of the Municipality of Torrevieja, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, has presented the programme of activities on the occasion of the World Tourism Day 2025which will be held from 26-28 September. The city will offer a full calendar of proposals open to all audiences with guided tours, talks, family activities, gastronomic days, free museums and a photo contest on social networks.
Programme of activities
Friday 26 September
- Guided tours of the city centrein Spanish, English and French, with shows at 10:00 and 11:00. Prior registration at the Tourist Office.
Saturday 27 September
- Dramatised family route "The salty history of the lagoons".in La Mata Natural Park (10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), aimed at children from 7 to 12 years old. Capacity limited to 50 people.
- Guided tours of the Natural History Museumwith shows at 11:00 and 12:00 h (registration via QR code).
- Informative talks "Once upon a time there was a beach".from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Concepción Street.
- Open day in museums (Floating Museums and the Sea and Salt Museum), with free access from 10:00 to 13:00 h.
- Guided tour of the Salt Industryfrom 09:00 to 11:00 h, with a special price of 6 €.
- International Tapas Day - International Tapas Day in Torreviejaorganised by the Association of Hotel and Catering Businesses. More information at www.torreviejagastronomica.com.
Sunday 28 September
- Ecotourism route "Vineyards and salt". in La Mata Natural Park, from 10:00 to 13:30. Registration at the Tourist Office or via the website www.turismodetorrevieja.com/ecorutas.
Complementary activities
From 15 to 26 September is held on Photography Competition "Torrevieja DMT25". on Instagram. Participants must post a photo of their favourite place in the city, tag @torreviejaturis and add the hashtag #TorreviejaDMT25. The rules and prizes are available on the municipal website.
