The Association is launching the 1st Edition of “La Ruta del Arroz – The Rice Route”, a new gastronomic initiative aimed at promoting local cuisine, boosting business at participating establishments and offering the public a new experience centred on rice.
The first edition of The Rice Route 2026 will take place on Tuesday 13 to Sunday 18 October 2026.
What is the Rice Trail?
Each participating establishment will offer a single plate of rice, which must be a complete and substantial meal.
The price will be the same at all participating outlets: €6.00 per dish, including a drink.
The proposal is open to the creativity of each establishment. Different types of dishes may be submitted, such as:
- Chicken and rice.
- Rice with fish.
- Seafood rice.
- Rice with vegetables.
- Creamy rice.
- Crusted rice.
- Rice and rabbit.
- Or any other rice dish offered by the restaurant.
The aim is to offer a varied itinerary that allows the public to discover different ways of enjoying one of the most iconic products of our cuisine.
Registration for establishments
The following may take part: bars and restaurants that are members of the Association and are up to date with their membership fees.
For the walk to go ahead, we will need to reach a at least 10 registered establishments.
The The registration deadline is Friday 18 September 2026.
To complete the registration process, each establishment must submit:
- Completed registration form.
- The establishment’s logo.
- Photograph of the plate of rice which will be presented during the tour.
- Times for participation: midday, evening or a full day.
The documentation must be sent within the specified deadline to correo@aehtc.net. Late entries will not be accepted.
Important: conditions for the participating dish
The The dish submitted at the time of registration must be exactly the same as the one served during La Ruta del Arroz and must maintain appropriate quality standards throughout the event.
Furthermore, participating establishments must display the promotional material in a prominent place which will be provided by the Association.
Public participation and prize draw
Customers who take part in The Rice Route 2026 They will be eligible for various prizes via the entry forms provided by the Association.
To take part in the prize draw, you will need to obtain at least 5 stamps from 5 different participating outlets.
Once the ballot paper has been completed, it must be placed in any of the designated ballot boxes. The ballot box and the stamp will be provided by the Association.
The The prize draw will take place on 24 October 2026.
Participating establishments must return the ballot box and the seal provided to the Association on 23 October. Failure to comply with this obligation will result in exclusion from future editions.
Take part in La Ruta del Arroz
Taking part in this initiative involves the full acceptance of the terms and conditions and a commitment to comply with all the conditions set by the Association to ensure the smooth running of the route.
The Association encourages all member establishments that meet the requirements to take part in this 1st Edition of La Ruta del Arroz – The Rice Route and help to turn it into a great celebration of local cuisine and hospitality.
