CdT Torrevieja is launching more than 30 free hospitality and tourism courses for the second half of 2026
The Torrevieja Tourist Office (CdT) has opened registration for its programme of Vocational Training for Employment for the second half of 2026, offering more than 30 free courses aimed at working professionals and unemployed people in the tourism and hospitality sector.
The programme includes compulsory basic training courses, such as the course on Food Hygiene, Food Handling and Allergen Management, with sessions on 28 September, 26 October, 16 and 23 November, and 1, 15 and 30 December, from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm, each lasting 5 hours. This course ensures that participants acquire the necessary knowledge to handle food safely, in accordance with current regulations.
Specialising in cooking, baking and culinary trends
Highlights of the new offerings include the courses on Cooking and Baking, featuring innovative themes such as vacuum and low-temperature cooking (19–20 October), healthy cuisine for sports tourism (26–27 October), gluten-free breads and pizzas (2–4 November), tapas and miniature cuisine (9–10 November), circular cuisine and zero waste (16–17 November), and gluten-free delicacies from Japan and Asia (23–24 November).
In addition, on 30 November there will be a special workshop on the the best classic potato omelette, led by Celia Clara Correia, runner-up in this category in 2025.
Training in management, leadership and digital tools
For the self-employed and those running hospitality businesses, the Torrevieja Vocational Training Centre offers courses in Verifactu for the self-employed (5 October), artificial intelligence applied to hospitality marketing (19–20 October), creating food-related content on a mobile phone (26–27 October), digital tools for hospitality management (2–3 November), basic automation for small businesses (9–10 November), emotional wine tourism (16–17 November) and profitable food and drink events (23–24 November).
Service courses: mixology, barista skills and vermouth
In the service area, the range includes The Vermul Universe (5–6 October), professional acrobatic mixology (19–21 October), professional barista (9–11 November) and coffee-based cocktails (23–24 November), all running from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm and lasting between 8 and 12 hours.
Registration and requirements
All the courses are free and are held at the CdT Torrevieja premises, situated on Carretera de Crevillent (CV-90), on the corner with Calle Los Lirios. To enrol, you must register on the website www.cdt.gva.es, create a user account and log in to the members’ area to complete your registration. Participants must authorise access to their personal details or provide a valid NIF/NIE, payslip or DARDE.
