Torrevieja will have a special role in Alicante Gastronomy 2025 with a programme that pays tribute to their SalinasThe city's symbol of identity, and its seafaring tradition. The Torrevieja Town Hall and the Association of Hotel and Catering Businesses of Torrevieja and the surrounding area are organising a gastronomic proposal centred on authenticity, creativity and local products, with the aim of consolidating the image of Torrevieja as a unique gastronomic destination.
During four intense days (from 3 to 6 October), the public will be able to enjoy tastings, showcookings, tastings, children's workshops and emblematic seafood dishes.all made with the flower of salt from the lagoons of Torrevieja.

Friday 3 October
Morning (12:00 - 15:00)
- 12:00 - Tasting of boquerones en vinagre (anchovies in vinegar) on toast with salt flower from Torrevieja.
- 13:00 - Showcooking: Cofradía del Cocido con Pelotas - live elaboration
- 14:00 - Tasting of tomato and cured cheese with salt from Torrevieja and oil from the Vega Baja.
- Seafood dish of the day: Arroz a banda torrevejense
Afternoon (15:00 - 19:00)
- 15:00 - Showcooking: Mediterranean Panettone with salt from Torrevieja (Quico Corrochano, finalist Best Artisan Panettone 2023)
- 16:30 - Tasting of Mistela of muscatel grapes from La Mata
- 17:30 - Tasting of torrevejense sponge cake with salt from the salt mines.
- 18:30 - Tasting of chocolate with Flor de Sal de Torrevieja flower of salt.

Value and substance of the proposal
This programme brings together tradition, innovation and local produce, with salt from the lagoons of Torrevieja as the common thread. Seafood tastings, reinterpreted sweets, tastings and activities for children complete an agenda that highlights the identity, history and flavour of Torrevieja within the framework of Alicante Gastronómica 2025.
