In the framework of FITUR, one of the most important international tourism events, the Association of Hotel and Catering Businesses of Torrevieja and Region, has presented its complete calendar of activities for 2025, reaffirming itself as a key destination for lovers of cultural and gastronomic tourism.

The President shared the key dates of the calendar of activities, which includes events for all tastes and which will take place throughout the year:

- - March: 12th edition of Rice dishes from Torreviejathe Lenten menus and the XLVIII Brotherhood Dinner - Golden Fork 2025.
- - April: Competition Croquettes al Gusto.
- - May: 5th edition of Croquettes al Gusto.
- - June: Gastronomic Days Torrevieja and the Sea 2025.
- - September: International Tapas Day in Torrevieja.
- - October and November: the long-awaited festival DESAL TORREVIEJA and the 12th edition of We Let's go for Tapas.

Closing of the event
The event was closed by the Mayor of Torrevieja, Mr. Eduardo Dolon, who thanked the efforts and dedication of the hospitality companies, the real protagonists of this gastronomic calendar. In his speech, the mayor stressed the fundamental role of these companies in promoting tourism in the city and reiterated the commitment of the City Council to continue supporting them in their work, stressing that it is they who really make it possible for Torrevieja to stand out as a benchmark in Mediterranean gastronomy.
FITUR was once again consolidated as the ideal setting to show the world all that Torrevieja has to offer, reinforcing its position as a tourist destination of excellence and a benchmark in Mediterranean gastronomy.
A showcooking that conquered FITUR
Another of the highlights of the presentation was the showcooking performed by Mónica Andreu Pinachef of the prestigious restaurant Las Cañas. During her demonstration, La Chef elaborated an exquisite seafood gazpachoa typical dish from Torrevieja that combines the purest flavours of the Mediterranean with traditional ingredients.
After the preparation, the attendees were able to enjoy a tasting of this emblematic dish, which allowed those present to experience first-hand the city's gastronomic richness. The proposal was very well received and generated numerous compliments from those attending the event.
