{"id":8324,"date":"2026-09-25T11:16:25","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T09:16:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.torreviejagastronomica.com\/?p=8324"},"modified":"2026-09-25T11:16:29","modified_gmt":"2026-09-25T09:16:29","slug":"concurso-tapa-makro-tapas-day-torrevieja-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.torreviejagastronomica.com\/en\/concurso-tapa-makro-tapas-day-torrevieja-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Makro Tapas Competition 2026: 22 entries for Torrevieja Tapas Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Makro Tapas Competition brings together participants in the 10th International Tapas Day in Torrevieja<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Torrevieja Training Centre (CdT) hosted the competition on Thursday between the participating schools in the 10th edition of\u00a0<strong>International Tapas Day in Torrevieja<\/strong>, a food festival to be held this\u00a0<strong>Saturday, 26 September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 11 participating venues will present a total of&nbsp;<strong>22 culinary experiences<\/strong>, of which 11 will be Tapas Makro, made with the&nbsp;<strong>tuna<\/strong>&nbsp;as a compulsory ingredient, provided by Makro, the event\u2019s official supplier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entries were judged by a panel comprising&nbsp;<strong>Alicia Arenas<\/strong>, director of the CdT;&nbsp;<strong>Jos\u00e9 Carlos Ruiz<\/strong>, manager of Makro\u2019s Elche branch; and&nbsp;<strong>Rosa Mar\u00eda Ca\u00f1\u00f3n Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>, Councillor responsible for Public Health, Prevention, Health Promotion and Consumer Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ca\u00f1\u00f3n highlighted the hospitality association\u2019s involvement and its commitment to incorporating products such as tuna \u2014 which is associated with a balanced and healthy diet \u2014 into attractive and creative culinary offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two highest-rated shops will receive a shopping trolley from Makro worth&nbsp;<strong>400 euros<\/strong>&nbsp;for the first prize and another for&nbsp;<strong>300 euros<\/strong>&nbsp;for the second round.
